The Cascade Cadets will square off against the Edgewood Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cascade comes in on 13 and Edgewood on four.

Cascade barely beat Franklin Community the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cadets put the hurt on the Grizzly Cubs with a sharp 18-6 win on Saturday. The Cadets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Grace Parks spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Cascade got a massive performance out of Macey Pugh, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most doubles Pugh has posted over her last ten contests. Madisyn Padgett was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Cascade always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .578. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin Community only posted an OBP of .344.

Edgewood came out on top against South Putnam on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Mustangs never let the Eagles get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

ALLY BLAND made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

In other batting news, MADI BLAND was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was ADDISON YEARBY, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Cascade's record is now 13-0. As for Edgewood, their record now sits at 14-2.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Cascade has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Edgewood struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Cascade was able to grind out a solid win over Edgewood in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, winning 3-0. Do the Cadets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
