Soccer Game Preview: East Hall vs. Oconee County

The East Hall Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Oconee County Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Hall will be strutting in after a victory while Oconee County will be coming in after a defeat.

East Hall is coming into the match on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Fannin County. That's two games straight that East Hall have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Oconee County didn't have quite enough to beat Mountain View on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Oconee County came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 36th, while Mountain View are ranked 168th).

East Hall's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Oconee County, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

East Hall might still be hurting after the 9-1 defeat they got from Oconee County when the teams last played back in April of 2015. Can East Hall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
