Basketball Recap: Sublette Comes Up Short

Sublette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 34th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Wichita County Indians, falling 73-30. The Larks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-11.

Despite the defeat, Sublette had strong showings from Aneya Puentes, who posted 13 points, and Ataly Puentes, who earned five points. Ataly also put up a steal, which washer first of the season.

Sublette's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Wichita County, their victory bumped their record up to 13-1.

Sublette will head out to square off against Southwestern Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwestern Heights will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Sublette surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wichita County, they will host Deerfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
