West Charlotte had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Berry Cardinals by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

West Charlotte had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-16, 25-21, 25-10.

Coming up, West Charlotte will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on North Rowan at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Berry has already played their next match (against Palisades), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
