Baseball Recap: Bell Takes a Loss

Bell extended their losing streak to five on Friday, dropping their season record down to 4-8 in the process. They came up short against the School Without Walls Penguins, falling 21-1. If the Griffins were looking for revenge after losing 20-0 to the Penguins when the teams met back in April of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for School Without Walls, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-8. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 12.5 runs.

For School Without Walls' part, the team relied heavily on Jabari Myers, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Myers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charles Davenport, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bell will venture away from home to challenge Coolidge at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for School Without Walls, they will head out to take on NOVA HomeSchool at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Lions will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Penguins surely won't give up without a fight.
