Basketball Recap: Oak Harbor Comes Up Short

Oak Harbor lost against Burlington-Edison back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Oak Harbor Wildcats were dealt a 71-38 loss at the hands of the Burlington-Edison Tigers. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Oak Harbor's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Burlington-Edison, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-4.

Oak Harbor and Burlington-Edison could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. Oak Harbor (ranked 257th) will meet Meridian (ranked 54th) at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison will challenge Lynden at 7:15 p.m. on Friday down 106 places (116 vs. 10).
