Basketball Game Preview: Platte County Pirates vs. Chrisman Bears + Official Tickets

The Platte County Pirates will take on the Chrisman Bears in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Platte County has given up an average of 51.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Platte County and Belton, and Belton kept the tradition alive. Platte County lost to Belton on the road by a 62-45 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Platte County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Belton is ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Chrisman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against Truman, falling 72-38.

Chrisman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Platte County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Platte County took their win against Chrisman in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 72-50 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
