Softball Recap: Eastlake Comes Up Short

Eastlake came into this matchup off a tough 12-run loss last Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Liberty Patriots by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Heather Lloyd was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Mia Atkins, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Eastlake's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Liberty, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastlake will challenge Skyline at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty, they will take on Redmond at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
