Basketball Recap: Make It 17 in a Row for East Burke

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but East Burke had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Randleman Tigers 64-43. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Braelyn Stilwell, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 22 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. The match was her 11th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kara Brinkley, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 boards.

The victory (which was East Burke's 17th in a row) raised their record to 28-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points over those games. As for Randleman, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.

East Burke has already played their next game, a 69-51 win against Lexington on the 4th. Randleman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
