Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cruz last Monday, Christian Heritage Academy came back down to earth. The Christian Heritage Academy Lions had to suffer through a 86-47 loss at the hands of the Morgan Park Academy Warriors. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Ivan Fullilove was his usual excellent self, going 10 for 19 on his way to 24 points and eight steals for Morgan Park Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Ade Denton-Vance, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.

Christian Heritage Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Morgan Park Academy, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-3.

Christian Heritage Academy will take on Beacon Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Beacon Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Christian Heritage Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Morgan Park Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Daystar Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Morgan Park Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season.
