Baseball Recap: Barrington Extends Road Winning Streak to Three

Barrington got themselves on the board against Rolling Meadows on Monday, but Rolling Meadows never followed suit. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 3-0. The Fillies/Broncos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Rolling Meadows' batters probably weren't too happy with Will Renshaw, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (he gave up four walks). Renshaw has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Barrington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Cavaliero, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Barrington pushed their record up to 20-9-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rolling Meadows, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-13 record this season.

Barrington will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Glenbrook North at 4:45 p.m. As for Rolling Meadows, they are taking a road trip to challenge Maine West at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
