Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Prep Saints vs. Cocoa Beach Minutemen

Trinity Prep is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against The Master's Academy on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Saints were dealt an 83-40 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. The Saints were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 58-27.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Finn Davidescu, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Taine Miller, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cocoa Beach, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 49-42 win over Edgewood on Friday. The Minutemen haven't had any issues with the Red Wolves recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Cocoa Beach found their leader in sophomore Tristan Louis, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. Louis also put up two assists, which were his first of the season. Jude Mohr-Bollinger was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Cocoa Beach's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Trinity Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Trinity Prep has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 27 boards per game. However, it's not like Cocoa Beach struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30 rebounds.
