Basketball Recap: Dunbar Takes a Loss

Dunbar lost against Forest Park back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dunbar Poets came up short against the Forest Park Foresters, falling 49-29.

Forest Park got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was MCKENZIE FITZGERALD out in front who posted eight points in addition to six assists and six steals. FITZGERALD is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of MYLA DORSEY, who put up ten points and six boards.

Dunbar's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Forest Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Coming up, Dunbar will face off against Mergenthaler Vo-Tech at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest Park, they will take on Academy for College and Career Exploration at 3:45 p.m. on February 21st.
