Johnson hadn't done well against New Providence recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Pioneers are ranked 219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
