Football Recap: Southwestern Randolph Gets the Win

The Southwestern Randolph Cougars didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Northwood Chargers on Friday, but they still walked away with a 20-14 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Although Northwood took the loss, they still got scores from Grayson Cox and Robert Tripp.

Southwestern Randolph's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Northwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwestern Randolph will take on North Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northwood, they will face off against West Carteret at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.44 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
