Weaver and Glencoe are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Bearcats will venture away from home to take on the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Friday, Weaver lost to Winterboro on the road by a 25-7 margin. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Glencoe took a blow against Hokes Bluff on Friday, falling 49-21.

Weaver will have to contain Alex Hudson Jr as he made an impact in Glencoe's last game. He rushed for 145 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. Hudson Jr got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 85 yards. Hayden Hudson was in the mix too, providing Glencoe with one score.

Weaver's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Glencoe, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Weaver took their win against Glencoe in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 42-20 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bearcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
