Basketball Recap: R-S Central Comes Up Short at Home Against Owen + How To Watch

R-S Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 48-38 to the Owen Warhorses on Thursday. While the Hilltoppers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warhorses 9-3 in the first quarter.

Owen had a senior duo take command as Asante Martin posted 16 points and five assists and Jackson Warnock put up 13 points. Martin's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points.

Owen has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. R-S Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Henderson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Owen, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Tuscola at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
