Preview: Methacton Warriors vs. Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials
The Methacton Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Methacton strolled past Boyertown with points to spare, taking the game 61-47. Given Methacton's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Boyertown is ranked 366th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Plymouth Whitemarsh entered their tilt with Springfield Township with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Plymouth Whitemarsh claimed a resounding 75-33 win over Springfield Township at home. Plymouth Whitemarsh has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 31 points or more this season.
Methacton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.
Methacton took a serious blow against Plymouth Whitemarsh when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 75-44. Can Methacton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
