Baseball Recap: Millburn Comes Up Short

After flying high against Newark Central on Wednesday, Millburn came back down to earth. The Millers fell 5-2 to the Nutley Raiders on Friday. The Millers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Charlie Krasnove made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Millburn has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Nutley, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Millburn has already played their next game, a 14-2 victory against Oratory Prep on the 2nd. As for Nutley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-6 win against Barringer on the 2nd.
