Football Game Preview: Berea-Midpark Titans vs. Avon Lake Shoremen

Berea-Midpark is 2-8 against Avon Lake since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Titans will head out to square off against the Shoremen at 7:00 p.m. Avon Lake took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Berea-Midpark, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Berea-Midpark turned things around against Elyria on Friday. They blew past the Pioneers, posting a 44-15 victory. The contest marked the Titans' most dominant win of the season.

Meanwhile, Avon Lake played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 43-12 defeat at the hands of Avon. The loss continues a trend for the Shoremen in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Avon Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Berea-Midpark, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Berea-Midpark and Avon Lake were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in September of 2024, but Berea-Midpark came up empty-handed after a 36-35 loss. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
