Volleyball Game Preview: Alhambra Moors vs. Gabrielino Eagles

Alhambra is 0-3 against Gabrielino since March of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Alhambra Moors will face off against the Gabrielino Eagles at 3:30 p.m.

Alhambra is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maranatha.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Maranatha scored at least 18 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-18, 23-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gabrielino, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on Covina with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday.

Gabrielino's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Alhambra, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Alhambra suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Gabrielino in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Alhambra avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
