Basketball Recap: Norwalk Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beckman, Norwalk was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Santa Ana Saints by a score of 53-41.

Norwalk had a senior duo take command as Jesus Sanchez dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds and David Zazueta dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards. Those 15 boards set a new season-high mark for Sanchez. Fabian Rangel also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Norwalk smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since the start of last season.

Norwalk's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Santa Ana, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Norwalk will head out on the road to challenge Garden Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Santa Ana, they will be taking part in a tournament against Rancho Alamitos at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
