West Rowan got themselves on the board against Carson on Tuesday, but Carson never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Carson Cougars as they made off with an 8-0 win. For the Falcons, this counts as revenge for the 8-2 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Maddox Moore made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-low in hits. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Pope, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Cole Blevins, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

West Rowan now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Carson, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

West Rowan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-3 win against Mooresville on the 5th. As for Carson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-0 loss against East Rowan on the 7th.
