East Ridge has gone 8-2 against Hixson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The East Ridge Pioneers will challenge the Hixson Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, East Ridge didn't have quite enough to beat Signal Mountain and fell 56-54.

Meanwhile, Hixson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 68-35 loss at the hands of Red Bank. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while the Lions are ranked 90th).

Hixson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for East Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

East Ridge took their win against Hixson when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 74-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for East Ridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
