Landon Roth had an outrageously good game as he went 10 of 16 to rack up 23 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (63%). Another player making a difference was Colby Rautenberg, who posted eight points and four blocks.
Milford was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Centennial only racked up eight assists.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Sandy Creek faced off against Fillmore Central on Tuesday. Sandy Creek fell 67-58 to Fillmore Central. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Milford will need to focus on slowing down Ethan Shaw, one of several Sandy Creek players who made an impact when they last played. He almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 43.1% of Sandy Creek's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kamerin Sealey was another key player, putting up 18 points and three steals.
Milford has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.33 points across that stretch. As for Sandy Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Milford has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 26.2 boards per game.
