While Alex Kostecka delivered a dominant effort on Wednesday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Andover. Anoka had no answer to Kostecka as she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Kostecka has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Kostecka and Andover will head out to take on Osseo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sadly, Kostecka's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Huskies' five-game streak of wins on the road. With the streak broken, Kostecka and the Huskies surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Friday's match.
