Recap: Lake City Panthers vs. Darlington Falcons
The Lake City Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-42 defeat at the hands of Darlington. Lake City was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.
When it comes to explaining why Lake City lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dallas Davis. Despite the final result, he scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals. Davis hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Blayne Edwards, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Lake City has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Darlington, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 17-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake City will take on Crestwood at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Crestwood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,008 points over their last 14 matches. As for Darlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marlboro County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Marlboro County is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
