Preview: Nanih Waiya Warriors vs. French Camp Academy Panthers
The Nanih Waiya Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the French Camp Academy Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Nanih Waiya has six straight victories, French Camp Academy has 25 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Nanih Waiya beat Velma Jackson 42-38.
Nanih Waiya got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nyshea Hoskin out in front who scored 24 points. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Hoskin has scored at least a third of Nanih Waiya's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexzandria Eiland, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, French Camp Academy came up short against Ethel on Tuesday and fell 47-40.
Nanih Waiya's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. As for French Camp Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.
