Basketball Game Preview: Wills Point Tigers vs. Farmersville Farmers

The Wills Point Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Farmersville Farmers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wills Point is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Wills Point came up short against Community and fell 55-43. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1264th, while the Braves are ranked 501st).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 74-46, which was the final score in Farmersville's tilt against Sunnyvale on Friday. The Farmers have struggled against Sunnyvale recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Farmersville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Wills Point, their loss dropped their record down to 4-18.

Wills Point was able to grind out a solid win over Farmersville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 67-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wills Point since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
