Basketball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

Midland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 54-39 to the Shirley Blue Devils. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 52-32 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Midland's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Shirley, their win bumped their record up to 2-28.

Coming up, Midland will head out to take on Harrisburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shirley, they will host Rose Bud at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shirley is facing Rose Bud at the right time seeing as Rose Bud is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
