Basketball Recap: Chisholm Trail Takes a Loss

Chisholm Trail was the 52-22 winner over Fossil Ridge when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Chisholm Trail Rangers opened the new year with a less-than-successful 47-37 defeat to the Fossil Ridge Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Panthers are ranked 94th).

This is the second loss in a row for Chisholm Trail and nudges their season record down to 10-9. As for Fossil Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Saginaw the next time they take the court. Chisholm Trail will head out to face Saginaw at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Fossil Ridge will host them at 6:15 p.m. on January 10th.
