Softball Recap: Edgewood Triumphs

Edgewood's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Conneaut Spartans a 23-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the game before.

Edgewood now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Conneaut, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Edgewood will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lakeside at 5:00 p.m. The Warriors are facing the Dragons at the right time seeing as the Dragons are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Conneaut, they will head out to take on Northwestern at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
