Basketball Recap: Waterloo East's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Waterloo East was the 49-47 winner over Fort Dodge when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Waterloo East Trojans fell 62-49 to the Fort Dodge Dodgers on Tuesday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Waterloo East's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Fort Dodge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Waterloo East will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ames at 6:15 p.m. As for Fort Dodge, they will head out on the road to face off against Mason City at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Mason City will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Fort Dodge surely won't give up without a fight.
