Soccer Game Preview: Thomas Dale vs. Prince George

The Thomas Dale Knights will venture away from home to face off against the Prince George Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Thomas Dale's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Hopewell. Thomas Dale might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Prince George had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 3-1. The game was the first time Prince George have beaten Hopewell on their pitch since May 17, 2022.

Prince George pushed their record up to 6-2-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Thomas Dale, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Thomas Dale skirted past Prince George 3-2 in their previous meeting on April 8th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
