Basketball Game Preview: Menlo-Atherton Bears vs. Mills Vikings

The Menlo-Atherton Bears will venture away from home to challenge the Mills Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mills took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Menlo-Atherton, who comes in off a win.

Menlo-Atherton's tournament run continued when they took on Salinas on Monday. Menlo-Atherton enjoyed a cozy 53-35 victory over Salinas. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Cowboys are ranked 499th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mills came up short against Half Moon Bay last Saturday and fell 43-30. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The win made it two in a row for Menlo-Atherton and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Mills, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Menlo-Atherton came up short against Mills when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 46-40. Can Menlo-Atherton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
