Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waterloo). Everything went their way against the Penn Yan Academy Mustangs on Thursday as they made off with a 23-3 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Tigers with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Waterloo and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Penn Yan Academy, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Coming up, Penn Yan Academy will challenge Clyde-Savannah at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.13 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. Waterloo will be paying especially close attention to Penn Yan Academy's match: after Penn Yan Academy faces off against Clyde-Savannah, they'll take on Waterloo again at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
