Recap: Hoover Vikings vs. Jackson Polar Bears
There's no place like home for The Hoover Vikings, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 27-14 victory over Jackson on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Hoover, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Zac Braucher, who picked up 127 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Isaiah Barker made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
When it comes to explaining why Jackson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anthony Fuline. Despite the final result, he picked up 168 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Hoover's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Jackson, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will square off against St. Francis DeSales at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (St. Francis DeSales is ranked 142nd, while Hoover is ranked 148th). As for Jackson, they will head out on the road to face off against Berea-Midpark at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berea-Midpark is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
