Volleyball Recap: Churchill County Takes a Loss

Churchill County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Granite Bay Grizzlies.

While Churchill County ultimately came up short, they really made Granite Bay work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 27-25.

Raegan Johnson paced Churchill County's offense, picking up six kills. Johnson got some help from Layla Walker and her 15 assists.

Churchill County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Granite Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Churchill County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Smith Valley on the 30th. As for Granite Bay, they will take on Vista del Lago at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
