Soccer Recap: St. James Comes Up Short

St. James was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blair Oaks Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to St. James of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

St. James now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Blair Oaks, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-2 record this season.

St. James is taking a road trip to take on Dixon at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blair Oaks, they will challenge California at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Blair Oaks will be up against California's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.89 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
