While Menomonie's victory against Rice Lake wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Warriors 3-1. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Mustangs have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The victory made it two in a row for Menomonie and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Rice Lake, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Menomonie will be playing at home against Eau Claire North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rice Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
