Soccer Recap: No Winner in Wylie East's First Match

Wylie East's season-opener on Thursday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. Neither they nor the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Ryleigh Wood and Averi Reisinger scored both of Wylie East's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

With that draw, St. Thomas Aquinas' record moves to 9-0-2.

Wylie East will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Horn at 1:40 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they will venture away from home to take on Allen at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Thomas Aquinas' defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Allen's offense will have their work cut out for them.
