Evansville Reitz blew North Posey out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday North Posey got their revenge. The Evansville Reitz Panthers fell just short of the North Posey Vikings by a score of 54-51. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Evansville Reitz lost, don't look at Kaelyse Mitchell. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards. The dominant performance also gave Mitchell a new career-high in blocks (eight). Another player making a difference was Keilah Mitchell, who went 7 of 12 en route to 15 points and three steals.

North Posey's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alyssa Heath led the charge by putting up 19 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Heath has scored at least a third of North Posey's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elle Jo Johnson, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 16 points and three steals.

Evansville Reitz's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-1. As for North Posey, their record is now 5-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evansville Reitz and Evansville Central will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Evansville Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season. North Posey will take on Evansville Mater Dei in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
