League recap: CRAIG races to league-leading run for Southridge

Pocket recap November 5, 2013

Southridge's CONNOR CRAIG recorded the longest rushing play in Pocket this season in his game against North Posey last week. CRAIG ran for 92 yards on the play and finished with 212 on the day as his team beat the Vikings.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Gibson Southern beat Evansville Memorial 29-23. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Titans.

CRAIG was a force in the backfield as Southridge bested North Posey.

CRAIG was a passing and rushing force as Scott Buening's team defeated Paul Rynkiewich's team.

Nick Sellers threw for 152 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 6-18 with 0 interceptions.

Sellers put up the best numbers in passing as Gibson Southern topped the Tigers. Sellers' favorite target this week was Mason Lankford, who caught 2 passes for 71 yards.

Nick Hart's team's Sellers and Griffin Scheller have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Sellers has thrown for 2,254 yards this season, while Scheller has 24 catches for 688 yards. Tell City's Elliott Brown leads the league in rushing yards with 1,906.

The Titans and Evansville Memorial played the closest game in Pocket this week, with the Titans eventually emerging with a 29-23 victory. Sellers in the win.
