Soccer Game Preview: East Liverpool vs. West Holmes

The East Liverpool Potters are taking a road trip to challenge the West Holmes Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Liverpool barely beat Harrison Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Potters blew past the Huskies 6-0 on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for East Liverpool's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Harrison Central with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Adelyne McCready (2), Renee Wright (2), Julianna Burkett, and Kindra Blake.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Holmes, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Shelby on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for West Holmes as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

East Liverpool's victory bumped their record up to 5-9-2. As for West Holmes, their win bumped their record up to 7-8-2.
