Softball Recap: Marion County Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Marion County and Berry meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Saturday. The Red Raiders fell 6-3 to the Wildcats. The Red Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 9-5.

Marion County has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Berry, the victory got them back to even at 14-14.

Marion County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 win against Brilliant on the 12th. As for Berry, they have also already played their next game, an 8-5 loss against Lynn on the 12th.
