Jonathan Alder put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Kenton Ridge Cougars. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Pioneers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Jonathan Alder pushed their record up to 16-0 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Kenton Ridge, with the loss, they broke their 12-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-2.

Jonathan Alder will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
