Baseball Game Preview: Kennedy Crusaders vs. Jones Eagles

Kennedy hasn't had much luck against Jones recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. Kennedy will look to defend their home field against Jones at 10:00 a.m.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Kennedy's offense. They fell 5-0 to Chicago Washington on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Crusaders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Kennedy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Estreda, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jones, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let Shepard get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Wednesday.

Gio Delgado looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Christophe DeWijkerslooth, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. Sam Haruska was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

The win got Jones back to even at 2-2. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
