West Mesquite never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past the Spruce Timberwolves 17-0. The Wranglers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Amberly Cruz made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Clarissa Avila and Ava Garza did most of the damage at the plate: Avila scored three runs and stole eight bases while going 2-for-2, while Garza scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those eight stolen bases gave Avila a new career-high. Paytin Griffith was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.

West Mesquite always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .826. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
