Volleyball Recap: Irving Takes a Loss

Irving was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rio Vista Eagles. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Eagles when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Irving's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Rio Vista, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Coming up, Irving will square off against Denton at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Rio Vista, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Brewer on the 23rd.
