Basketball Recap: Reeds Spring Comes Up Short

Reeds Spring was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers at home by a 49-33 margin. If the Wolves were looking for revenge after losing 59-39 to the Mountaineers when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Reeds Spring's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mt. Vernon, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Reeds Spring will head out on the road to face off against Clinton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Vernon will take on Springfield Catholic in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
